At Gevasol and the Emek HaMa’ayanot Regional Council, we dreamed of a center where education, industry, and technology would meet — a place where the valley’s children could encounter the real world: engineers, entrepreneurs, makers.
The search led us to an abandoned indoor swimming pool. Within its old walls, we imagined classrooms, labs, makerspaces, a small auditorium — a home for innovation. That was the dream.
For over a decade, Idan Technology — on the outskirts of Beit She’an in Emek HaMa’ayanot — has been alive with activity. Thousands of students, teachers, volunteers, and entrepreneurs have passed through its doors.
They dared, experimented, failed, and tried again. They built robots and autonomous boats, studied biomimicry, took engines apart and put them back together — and discovered how technology connects to the world around them.
